Today really was "The Best Day Ever"

Today really was The Best Day Ever! I was baptized today. When I woke up this morning, I was filled with excitement kind of like Christmas morning. By the time I got to church, my hands were shaking; it was like the waiting in line at Disneyland's Matterhorn when you are ten years old you are so excited you just cannot stand it. As I walked up to our huge baptismal tub my heart was beating, so fast I cannot even describe the feeling. A man came up to me to tell me my oldest son Ryan was there, I did not think anyone from my family was going to be able to come as my whole family is sick. That was so awesome that he came to share it with me. It turned out I was being baptized with a girl that was about twelve years old, she looked at me and said "I'm a little nervous" and I said "me too but you know what, today we are both going to share our baptism birthday isn't that exciting", and she said "we are, aren't we" and she started to smile. As I walked up I knew this is the place God had led me to all of my life the trials that I have experienced cancer, heartache, poverty, all of it could not compare to the suffering my Lord did for me on the cross. It put it all of it into perspective of eternity. As my Pastor read my testimony and I went under, I knew my life had changed. So very thankful I have a Father that loves me so much and makes me whole and clean. What a great way to start the advent season, the time we wait in anticipation of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It really was The Best Day Ever!

One Of My Greatest Christmas Memories

My favorite Christmas memory is when I was 8 years old, I wanted a bike so badly. I dreamed of that bike for so long. I ask Santa when I sat on his lap and I even wrote him a letter to tell him of my great desire. When I got up Christmas morning I ran to see that under our tree Santa did not bring my bike. I was still happy that it was Christmas but a little sad that I didn't get my bike. We opened up all of our other gifts, and right at the end of our gift opening our neighbor knocked on the door and said to my Dad "Hey I think Santa left something in my garage that is not for us I think it was suppose to come to your house". I ran outside and there it was my beautiful brand new red bike. It was a great day!!

Happy Friday Before Thanksgiving

Happy Friday
Wow what a week! So funny just how many emotions you can go through in a week. From the highest, laughing at everything to the lowest, crying at everything. The part I love the most about this week is even in the midst of my emotional-ness God never changed He stayed the same which to me means He was there with me no matter what. I felt Him rejoicing with me, and holding me in the darkness.  How exciting is that to know someone will never leave you.... ever!!! I am so thankful for so very much and speaking of Thankfulness, Thanksgiving is only 6 days away, I am licking my lips just thinking of all the yummy things I am going to devour eat. What makes the anticipation so great this year is I will actually be able to taste it this year as appose to last year when treatment messed with my taste buds. So today I say Happy Friday and have a day of anticipation knowing God is there always!!!

Glow In the Dark Fun

So last week I went to the dollar store and bought those glow in the dark necklaces and bracelets. Sooo much fun last Friday night I had the 3 girls Maddy, Lily, and Isabelle we turned off most of the light (it was pretty dark) and the fun began. Grandma's ideas are a little crazy and they love that. When you can take a 4 year old and twin 22 month old girls and play in the dark for almost an hour with giggles, you are a GREAT Grandma. Last night I pulled out the necklaces for Christian (3 1/2) & Chloe (22 mo), Christian love it he played for the longest time but Chloe had fun if I held her she kept saying "you do it Grandma, scared", she is not a fan of the dark or glowing things. So 5 Babes, 4 loved it, 1 not so much but for $2.00 pretty awesome!! I am the smartest bear in the forest. Now I have to think of tonights adventure....
